World Poetry Day 2018

Hello everyone! I know it’s been a crazy long time since I’ve posted. In my defense, Winter Quarter was crazy (it always is) and for mental health reasons I could barely even focus on schoolwork much less running a successful blog.

All that being said, I am now back, hopefully on a much more regular basis, especially since April is just over a week away and April is National Poetry Month! I’m going to be planning some rockin’ blog posts for that to celebrate. Who knows? I may challenge myself to write a poem a day and post about them here! I’ve been meaning to get into posting some original content. It saddens me to say I was hardly able to really produce anything in the last couple of months.

Anyway, wouldn’t you know it, it’s actually World Poetry Day! I know, weird that it’s not in April, but hey, it’s a whole additional day to celebrate the art we love so dearly!

I thought to myself, what better way to revive my poetry blog than with World Poetry Day!

Currently, I’m on Spring Break, so it’s a good time to plan and to recuperate a bit before we kick off Spring Quarter on Monday. I’m especially excited for Spring because I’m going to be taking an intermediate poetry course! I took the beginning level in the fall, absolutely fell in love, so it’ll be nice to get back into the swing of things and gain exposure to poets and pieces I wouldn’t have necessarily learned about before.

See you on April 1st!

  1. Hannah, So glad you have a break. I can tell you have been very busy and working very hard with studies. A little fun time and relaxation is well due. Think of your often and send good vibes your way. Keep up your good works at school and in life; love to see you grow.
