I know I’ve been behind on the podcast, school has been hectic! I’m trying to keep up with the website though to deliver good poetry content here and there and stay active on the things I love most—poetry & writing!
Speaking of writing, I have an exciting announcement to make: this November I’ll be participating in Nanowrimo! I plan to blog about it briefly throughout the month to track my journey as an already crazy-busy college junior who’s determined to complete this incredibly intense challenge.
What is Nanowrimo?
NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month and it is a big event throughout the month of November. It’s all a big challenge: to complete the first draft of a 50,000-word novel in 30 days.
It sounds like a tall order, but I’ve done it before. In 2012, my freshmen year of high school, I managed to succeed. This is the first year since then that I’ve felt prepared, mentally and emotionally, for the challenge. It’s been a long time coming, but I’m looking forward to it.
I’d like to journal about my experience here, just because I think it will be a good way to actively utilize this blog. I don’t think I’ll be writing tons though, I have a feeling I’ll need to give my fingers a break!
It’s Halloween right now and I’m eager to get started on my project. Only 45 minutes til Nanowrimo! Stay tuned for updates!
